The Classic and Sportscar Centre in Malton, North Yorkshire, is selling the 1963 Jaguar Mk2 3.8 that was chosen as this year’s Goodwood Revival course car at £49,995. It was used on the track between races for members of the BARC and the Clerk of the Circuit.
Classic and Sportscar Centre CEO James Szkiler told CCW: ‘Last year the team at Goodwood asked if we had a suitable pre-1966 safety car for the Revival. We had just taken in a subtly upgraded Jaguar E-Type S1 4.2 FHC finished in Opalescent Green – a perfect candidate. It was put through its paces for the weekend; it wasn’t a race-prepared car but it was quick and looked fantastic on the track.
‘Having been involved trackside last year, we were invited again this year, this time to bring a course car for the use of BARC members and the clerk of the circuit between races. Our stunning ex-Beachams-owned Jaguar MK2 was chosen and offered a comfortable, very period car and performed faultlessly all weekend.
‘A beautifully presented older restoration that was re-built to an exceptionally high standard and featuring various upgrades, it’s the ideal overall package for regular use and long distance touring.’
