A Peugeot 205 GTI from actor Rowan Atkinson’s personal collection is to form part of the Classic Car Auctions (CCA) sale at Stoneleigh Park on 28 September at no reserve.
The Blanc Meije (Alpine White) 1989 1.6 has its original ‘pepper pot’ alloy wheels and optional glass sunroof. The interior appears to be unmarked with cloth bolsters replacing the half-leather, red-stripe cloth inserts and bright red velour 'cut-pile' carpets. CCA says that its immaculate condition belies the 71,000 miles indicated on the odometer though it has only covered 300 miles in Rowan’s ownership.
CCA’s Nick Whale told CCW: ‘We are delighted to be offering another of Rowan's cars in this sale. Historically they have always sold well; his 2015 Land Rover Defender 110 Heritage that we sold earlier this year set a new auction world record so I am sure that this hot little 205 GTI will attract a lot of interest.’ Chris Frear
