Hobbs Parker has been tasked with selling a former businessman’s private collection of classics, all at no reserve.
Kent-based auction house Hobbs Parker is to auctioning a collection of 16 classics today (9 October) that belonged to a private collector on following his death.
The collector had a soft spot for 1930-1950s Vauxhalls from earlier in his life and his collection includes a Wyvern, a 14/6 J Type, a DX 14, a 12/6, a DX, a J Type and a Velox Series E.
Business success eventually led him to also appreciate more luxurious cars so his collection includes two Rolls-Royce Silver Seraphs – one of which originally belonged to Lord Sugar – plus a Silver Cloud III and Silver Cloud I and a Silver Shadow LWB with division and a Bentley Arnage R and Eight.
Other notable cars in the collection include a Humber Snipe 80, a Wolseley 6-110 and a 1933 Humber Snipe 80 that is thought to be the last of its type on the road in the UK.
Hobbs Parker director, James Johnson, told CCW: ‘We are very excited to be offering this collection from a lifelong car enthusiast, all at no reserve.’ Chris Frear
