It has been confirmed that the very Morgan 4/4 that appeared at the 1936 Paris Motor Show will go on show at the first Inter-Club International Weekend at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern on 28-30 June.
The Morgan’s current custodian, Matthew Glennon, told CCW: ‘It started life in France then came back at the end of 1936. It’s 1122cc Coventry climax engine makes a ridiculous 34bhp and my father owned it until he passed away three years ago. My godfather, who was his best friend at university, gave it to him on the condition that he never sold it for money, which is something that I am going to continue.’
CCW is the official media partner for this new classic car club festival which is open to any UK-based car club. Some 45 clubs have already signed up for the inaugural event which is a not-for-profit show being hosted for the benefit of clubs and their members.
