The inaugural Inter-Club Weekend gives you the chance to test your skills on an auto-test circuit – and CCW readers get an exclusive ticket discount, too.
The CCW-supported Inter-Club International Weekend at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, on 28-30 June will offer classic owners the chance to put their cars through their paces in the Motorsport Arena.
Organiser Wayne Scott said: ‘Our Saturday morning auto-test is all about having fun in your car on a flowing course with no reversing. Your task will be to drive as quickly as possible through the course, which will run over Tarmac, grass and a loose, dusty, gritty surface. Having a navigator will help you through the course. You’ll get at least three attempts and there is no additional entry fee for the navigator.
‘Cars must be driven to the event, so must be taxed and, where appropriate, hold a valid MoT certificate. Cars are split into classes for three- four, five-, six, eight and 12-cylinder cars.
‘This Motorsport UK Taster event is open to any driver 18 years and over, holding a full valid driving licence, whether a car club member or not. As this auto-test is run under a Motorsport UK Clubman’s permit, all drivers and navigators will need to hold a 2024 RS Clubman Licence. There is no cost for this and it can be applied for online with a mobile phone on the day although it’s probably better and easier to do that now in advance.
‘Cars will be scrutineered before tackling the course and there will be an awards ceremony for the ‘Most Entertaining Drive’ and fastest car in each class’.
